Program Overview

The IIP was established to attract high-net-worth individuals who can contribute to Ireland's economic development. Successful applicants receive a Stamp 4 permission, allowing them and their immediate family to live, work, and study in Ireland.

Investment Options

Applicants can choose from four investment options, each designed to support different sectors of the Irish economy:

  • Enterprise Investment: Invest a minimum of €1 million in an Irish enterprise for at least three years. This option supports business growth and job creation in Ireland.
  • Investment Fund: Invest a minimum of €1 million in an approved investment fund for at least three years. These funds are regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and focus on sectors like technology and renewable energy.
  • Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs): Invest a minimum of €2 million in any Irish REIT listed on the Irish Stock Exchange for at least three years. This option allows investors to benefit from Ireland's strong real estate market.
  • Endowment: Make a philanthropic donation of at least €500,000 to a project of public benefit in the arts, sports, health, culture, or education sectors. This non-refundable contribution supports community development and cultural initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the IIP, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Net Worth: Demonstrate a personal net worth of at least €2 million.
  • Investment Commitment: Make a qualifying investment in one of the approved categories.
  • Good Character: Provide evidence of good character and a clean criminal record.
  • Financial Documentation: Submit proof of the legal source of investment funds.
