SAT is an international standardized test conducted for getting admission in the Colleges of the United States and many other countries. SAT is wholly owned, developed, administered and published by the College Board. The full form of SAT is the Scholastic Assessment Test which was earlier known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test.

ABOUT DIGITAL SAT

Digital SAT (D-SAT) is an international standardized test conducted for securing admission in universities and colleges, primarily in the United States, and many other countries. The full form of SAT has witnessed several changes in the due course of history, but at present, it is termed simply the SAT. The purpose of D-SAT is to measure high school students’ readiness for university or college admissions and provide the institutions with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants' academic potential.

It is a multiple choice, computer-based, and multi-stage adaptive test designed for high school students looking for university or college education by testing their ability to solve problems. Applicants aspiring to pursue undergraduate courses, particularly in the U.S. must take the D-SAT exam. Its score is also accepted in countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore and Canada. It is held 7 times a year, in most countries.

IMPORTANCE OF THE DIGITAL SAT TEST

Your Digital SAT score is how colleges compare you to other applicants from around the globe. 

Applicants to one university certainly come from different backgrounds, as they would have attended different high schools, might have taken different classes, or would have done different extracurricular activities, but all applicants should have taken the Digital SAT to ensure a common assessment benchmark.

Your Digital SAT score will reveal whether your GPA and transcript accurately represent your academic ability. Admissions of cers use your Digital SAT score to determine if your grades were in ated.

QUALIFY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

In addition to your college applications, your Digital SAT scores can be used to apply for scholarships.

These are sometimes merit-based scholarships, granted directly from your choice of institutions during the application process. Others may be from local, state, or regional programs where your grades, academic achievements, and scores affect your eligibility.

Your SAT score offers you another opportunity to show the college or university how far you have come academically, even if your GPA is slightly lower than expected. It is your opportunity to show that you can work under pressure, study hard, and perform well. This is a major reason you should study and be prepared on the test day.

DIGITAL SAT TEST PATTERN

Digital SAT is a 2 hours & 14 minutes computer - based 

exam.

It comprises two sections - Verbal & Mathematics with

calculator, with each section having 2 Modules each.

There are two-section scores resulting from Digital SAT

(A) Reading & Writing (B) Mathematics

There is no negative marking for an incorrect answer.

  • The total score for SAT is obtained by adding scores of two sections; as a result, leading to a nal score in the range of 400-1600.
  • Digital SAT scores in the range 1400-1600 are considered to be very good scores.

You can take the Digital SAT as many times as you want, but most students take the test 2 or 3 times to secure admissions & scholarships in top-ranking Universities.
