Education System in Hungary

Most of Hungary's schools are public, and the Ministry of Human Resources is in charge of them. Preschool education, also known as kindergarten, is compulsory for all children between the ages of three and six and primary education lasts for eight years

Hungary has a long history of academic excellence, with its first university being founded in 1367 in Pécs. Hungary has 65 colleges and universities that offer higher education. They range from small universities of applied sciences to top research universities.

Secondary education in Hungary has three general types of schools, each catering to different kinds of students, aptitudes, and interests: grammar schools, secondary vocational schools, and technical schools. The Gimnázium is a non-vocational school that prepares students for college and usually teaches at least two foreign languages. English, German, and French are among the most popular.

The Hungary Government Scholarship 2023-2024 is a fully funded scholarship that covers tuition fees, a monthly stipend of HUF 43,700, an accommodation contribution of HUF 40 000/month, and medical insurance for up to HUF 65 000 a year/person
