Changes in New Zealand Student Visa Application – Latest Information 2024

Important updates from Immigration New Zealand:

  • Now onwards 3 months old funds will be accepted for New Zealand Student visa application.
  • Only one sponsor should Ideally be sponsoring and the student is also considered as a sponsor.
  • INZ will only accept a financial guarantor as legitimate if they are student’s immediate family member (wife or husband, parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, parents-in-law), and he/she can prove their relationship to them. Financial guarantees or sponsorship must be credible.
  • Loan from Nationalised and Multi Nationalised bank will be accepted.
  • Unsecured loan will now onwards not be accepted by INZ.
  • Property sales or statements stating a property may be sold to finance study will not be accepted.
  • If student is keen to join University or Institution in New Zealand, it is time to act promptly and apply for the student visa for May or July 2024 intake. 


    VISA CHECKLIST:

  • Covering Letter. (Word Format)
  • Credit Card details to pay the fees online (NZD 430 that comes around Rs. 21,500/-)
    Card Holder Name -, Expiry Date -, CVV-, Card Number-.
  • Notary attested First and Last page of Passport.
  • Passport (All pages coloured scanned without notary).
  • Note: If the student has any old passports, then coloured scanned copies all the old passports will be required. (All pages)

  • Visa Questionnaire form (Detailed Information should be provided as per question mandatorily)
  • Digital coloured photograph 45 mm height by 35 mm width (Size should be 381*528 pixels) (with face minimum 70% and maximum 80%) on non-white but light colour background. (JPG Format)
  • Offer Letter from Education Institution.
  • Bank Balance Statement and certificate/Education Loan Letter (Bank balance needs to be
  • equal to 1st year tuition fees + 20,000 NZD towards living expenses + NZD 2000 towards
  • Airfare and funds should at least be three months old. However, Immigration Officer may for the 6 months or 12 months statements). If the duration of course is longer than one academic year, then provide documentary evidence of funds for tuition fee for full duration + NZ$ 20,000 per annum towards living expenses in New Zealand + NZ$ 2000 airfare (recent funds can also be used for 2nd and 3rd year, still for some student’s immigration may ask for the source)
  • Note: In case of a Secured Education Loan, Original and English Translation of Collateral Documents will be required.
  • Note: that only one sponsor is accepted, and student is also considered as the sponsor in case of NZ.
  • Email id and visiting card of the branch for verification of Bank Balance.

  • Affidavit of Support from sponsors on 100Rs Notary Stamp papers.
  • Aadhar Card, Passport & Pan Card Copy of sponsors.
  • Income Tax returns with computations or Form 16 of each sponsor for last 3 years. (If the sponsors have the business income, then provide the business proofs like GST registration etc)
  • Note: If the sponsors or parents are working outside the country, then Employment proof, Salary account statement and visa copy will be required.
  • A Copy of Birth Certificate of Student. (Not mandatory if the student doesn’t have it)
  •  Notary attested Academic Documents from 10th, 12th,Bachelors. (Digi Locker Verified)
  • Visa Refusal Letter (If Any)
  • Notary attested IELTS Score Card/ PTE/ TOEFL, if student has given PTE, then candidate login ID and Password is required.
  • Work experience letter along with salary account statement, Form 16 and ITRs of the student (If Applicable).

  • Police Clearance Certificate (Police certificates must be less than six months old when you submit your application)
  • Statement of Purpose (Word format)
  • Updated Resume
  • INZ 1025 (If the student is sponsored by anyone who is living in New Zealand)
  • Funds Accepted by the Immigration: Education Loan Secured with collateral property from the nationalize bank, Savings account (Six months statements), FD, PF account (Withdrawable limit certificate), LIC policies (surrender value).
  • Funds which are not accepted: CO operative funds, gold loan, sale of gold and unsecured education loan, KCC funds, Cash, credit card, property valuation certificate or property documents.
  • Refer the Mock interview questions attached and prepare the student for an interview.
