Why study in Spain?

Education System in Spain
The education system in Spain is divided into five levels: preschool, primary (elementary), compulsory secondary education, post-compulsory secondary education, and tertiary education, which includes vocational studies or university education. Primary and secondary education are compulsory and free for all children aged between 6 and 16 years old, and are considered basic (obligatory) education.
The Spanish education system is supported by the national government and the individual governments of each of the 17 autonomous regions in Spain. Each of the regions is responsible for the management, funding, and organisation of the education system within their borders.
The Spanish education system comprises three categories of schools: public schools (colegios públicos), which are mostly state-funded; private schools (colegios privados), which are privately funded; and semi-private schools (colegios concertados), which are funded partially by the state and partially by private entities.

Documents for Admissions
International students who graduate from Spanish universities have the opportunity to stay in the country after their studies to work. There are two legal options that allow foreign students to work. First, through the student visa itself, which authorises work. However, if the card was issued before August 16th, 2022, the foreigner must apply for compatibility with studies to work.
The second option is to apply for a post-study work visa, which allows graduates to stay in Spain for up to one year after graduation to look for employment.
In addition, a new law being proposed, the University System Law, may give all international graduates the opportunity to stay in the country after study without having to apply for a new visa. The length of time for this option is still being decided, but it may be increased to two years.
To be eligible for the post-study work visa, graduates need to have their university diploma, sufficient means of financial support, health insurance, and proof of payment of the application fee. International students are allowed to work for 20 hours a week.
